well i have a problem with a computer i build when i try to install the os, it doesnt show the harddrive at all. the drive is detected in bios. so i was wondering if it is possible to put the harddrive in an other computer to install the OS. Or would that cuase a error when you switch it.
That would just BSOD when it doesn't find the right hardware. Does your HDD/SATA controller need drivers? You *could* try installing the OS in a different computer, then sysprep'ing it, though that might not work.
yeah im pretty sure it doesnt need any drivers. i checked it with a spare hard drive i had around and it would install on that but not the new one and i already sent the first one back because i thought it was fault.
