• Help me build my first computer! ($1000 AUD budget)

Hi, I going to attempt to make my own computer. I've been making a list of parts and I'm hoping Facepunch can check it over to see if it's all compatible / not too over powered or under powered for what I'm doing. I'm not too sure if I chose the right Wattage on the PSU and I'm a bit iffy on the case I chose, so if someone could look into those, I'll be very happy. I'll mainly use it for gaming, with a bit of sound/music editing on the side. Are you planning on over clocking? You'll need the i5-2500k and a Pxx mobo (as opposed to Hxx) I'm also a little unsure about some of the other components [editline]11th April 2011[/editline] You should only be spending ~$75 on the PSU, certainly not over $100
Any other recommendations? I would really like to hear from some more people If I've chosen good parts. And I probably won't be over clocking.
anyone? :saddowns:

(Although you'll probably want to upgrade the PSU as well if the time comes to add another GTX 560) There's no reason not to overclock, because you (almost) can with your budget. However, if for some reason you just don't want to overclock (the above build will overclock just fine), you can save some money. Also cross check between the website you're using and PCCaseGear, it seems your site has some prices a bit cheaper and vice-versa.
Thanks for a lot for that, shame I can't get the parts for another 3 days due to school life.
