Alright if you read the title you know whats going on here, I want to overclock but I am not sure how far I can go and what to put for the voltages, clock multipliers, FSB etc.
Specs that matter:
Cpu: Phenom II x4 955 3.2GHz
Mobo: MSI 790FX-GD70
Ram: Patriot 2x2GB @1333
I have more than enough spare voltage in my psu and I already have a third-party cooler installed to handle the extra heat
help meh
with phenoms i dont think you want to go over 1.5v
and with the 955 just up the multipliers a small bit and if its unstable up the voltage a tad
You can get to 3.8ghz on stock volts usually. 4.0 is where people usually have to up it a small amount, and if you want 4.2/4.4, you'll need some goooood cooling for the higher voltages.

how good of cooling do I need? I have a Coolermaster GeminII installed right now, would that be enough for +4.0Ghz?
i use a hyper 212 for 3.9ghz at 36c @ idle on a i5-750

looks like a decent cooler, havent used one myself though, should be able to get a decent overclock with it
