Or you know you could have stuff like dust clouds in single player, cos you know, fine balance doesn't really matter as long as it's cool and fun.
Be interesting to see what new element they add to online gameplay to make it standout from BF3 and other FPS. That's if they are wanting to do so.
Our goal is to create the perfect Battlefield movie
Welp.
Our goal is to create the perfect Battlefield movie
What an incredibly poor choice of words. This is not what your core fanbase wants DICE.
What an incredibly poor choice of words. This is not what your core fanbase wants DICE.
To them, it doesn't matter what the fanbase wants. It's more than likely that this will sell well enough to offset any sales lost to hardcore fans.
Anyone remember how everyone got excited about dragging injured soldiers in BF3? I doubt SP in the fourth won't be a scripted eventfest too.

I love single-player, but it just isn't needed for BF4.
“They remember their names. How often do you do that in a game, really?”
I then proceeded to recite like 10 of the squadmates in the Call of Duty games, meanwhile I can't remember the name of BC2's protagonist or any other squadmate than Montes in BF3
What features other than guns and cursing?
What features other than guns and cursing?
microtransactions
I remember Marlowe, Haggard, Sweetwater and Sarge, know why? Because BC1's (and to a much lesser extent BC2's) singleplayer was funny and I could easily distinguish each character (obviously due to blatant stereotypes, but it's a comedy). I can't name anyone from BF3, MoH, MoH: WF, or anyone in CoD excluding Price or Soap.
You don't need to know the names of wargame characters because you can always identify them by which blatant stereotype they are.
“They remember their names. How often do you do that in a game, really?”
Quite often, as long as the characters/singleplayer experience aren't shit. I didn't play much of BC2's singleplayer, but I thought it was boring and scripted as fuck .

"They remember their names. How often do you do that in a game, really?" Are they serious? I only remember Blackburn, Dima and Solomon from BF3 because the first 2 were your character and the bad guy had a really weird name. You lose few of your squadmates during the campaign but I felt nothing because you don't get to know them at all. Players can easily remember a character name as long as they are interesting. A lot of games accomplished it. BC2 managed it, too, although they went with the stereotypes.

He's destined to be forever referred to as "guy that lost his leg".
Mehh.. to be honest I hope it gets that old BF feel back.. fuck SP. Atleast yano.. when there was Vietnam and BF2.. singleplayer was just multiplayer with bots and scaled down. We shall see.
If you’re playing multiplayer, you actually care about the guys in your squad
more videogames made by people who don't play videogames, it seems
“They remember their names. How often do you do that in a game, really?”
Most games I play I remember the names of the characters, but only if they are good games.
"Our goal is to create the perfect Battlefield movie"
Good Games [editline]17th April 2013[/editline]
“We actually have features that are pulled directly from multiplayer instead of having two separate paths.”
Two paths, what? In what context, what paths are you talking about? Sex and Masturbation are two paths, one's where I play with myself and the other with friends, sometimes up to 16 at a time. Jesus Christ what the fuck are they doing to this game?
ESRB: Game experience may not change during online play
Only 16 people? Pfft, the PC gaming master race has mass orgies of up to 64 people at a time...
I get performance issues if there are too many people. [editline]17th April 2013[/editline] First come the memory leaks, then the big dump that crashes the whole thing.
