I really want a book about the history of OS's, or just computers in general, from hardware to software. I want to learn as much about computers as possible.
Can anyone recommend any good books on that subject matter?

Here's some more information, if you want it.
Wikipedia can be really dreadful. In their quest for neutrality and formal perfection they often write articles that are way too verbose and boring to read and understand. A proper book would probably be a better way.

Thats how I see it, I also want something somewhat tangible, not just internet articles, especially wikipedia
