Now thats what i call a pre-order.
Wish there was also a CE without the silly statue. :(
IT BEGINS. I strongly encourage anyone on the fence about the game to look up some of the beta footage.
I wish the statute was of someone sexier. Not really into furry.
Wow, an collector's edition containing actual stuff. don't see that a lot these days. [editline]13th March 2012[/editline]
I wish the statute was of someone sexier. Not really into furry.
Sorry bro, you're gonna have to jerk off to something else then.
hey remember when Skyrim had a 150$ collector's edition with a statue roughly the same size as this one and everyone was yelling how overpriced it was?
$60 :suicide: Better be worth it.
Its 50 bucks. Unless you're in Europe or something, I don't get the icons that show where people are from anymore.
I think I'll stick with the regular edition. Still so glad to see we're getting really close to release now.
FUCK YEAH
considering it doesn't have monthly fees, it could be 80 and i'd still get it
Agreed, seeing how a full year for a subscription based game would be atleast $120 (when a game is 10/month, which is quite low for big online games) I'd buy it for sure.
I wish the statute was of someone sexier. Not really into furry.
I have a feeling this post may or may not haunt you in the future when talking about gamer stereotypes.
This might be my first collectors edition buy.
ha preorders give beta access... talk about desperate
Buying CE straight away.
ha preorders give beta access... talk about desperate
Do you just hate everything that isn't WoW? It almost seems like you hate WoW from your posts there too. I just don't understand why you hate it so much. It's supposed to be innovating on the aged model of MMOs today.
yeah so desperate, i mean, guild wars 1 barely sold at all oh...

NCSoft announced that 6 million units of games in the Guild Wars series had been sold.[13]

ha preorders give beta access... talk about desperate
Eh, a lot of games do this recently. Doesn't mean they're desperate, just gives the buyer more incentive to buy it.
ha preorders give beta access... talk about desperate
Yeah man, it's almost like nobody wants to play the beta. https://twitter.com/#!/GuildWars2/status/173130750747615232
the servers hardly need to be maintained because of the peer to peer and there is a cosmetic cashshop that also exists
Oh, I didn't know that. I always wondered how they could keep the servers up without a monthly payment.

Guild Wars 1 wasn't the best game in the world. Comparing to a game like WoW or SWTOR you really can't because they are two completely different games. Guild Wars isn't even an MMORPG, it's a Co-op RPG with some mechanics normally found in MMOs.
It's happening. After all this time it is really happening.
I wonder if they're going to do a character wipe after the beta.
I wonder if they're going to do a character wipe after the beta.
Most likely, yes. that way the headstart for preorder-ers actually makes sense. People without preorders are still getting into beta, but people buying early will be sure to get in.
ha preorders give beta access... talk about desperate
What the fuck?

Not quite sure what's with the dumb ratings. That's 6 million divided over 4 releases, not just the original game.
I'm pretty sure it still classes as an MMORPG. The cities allowed you to see everyone at once, and you could create guilds from meeting new people to go on quests with. I really enjoyed Guild Wars 1, and I'm going to pre order this when I can

But you couldn't actually be playing with that many people at the same time. In that sense, you could call CoD an MMO. Guild Wars however did do a great job at FEELING very connected like an MMO.

They could've removed the visual of the cities and replaced it with a lobby screen with shops and quests and it would've been basically the same.
