Haha no. Ignoring your consumer base is the worst idea to do, like holy crap, it's pretty much an instant way to lose your consumer base and money.

It's okay and people will forget about it over time. Just like youtube implements its features. If you do it to everyone at once, though, it will create an uproar.

You get an aggregate response of how your product is doing on a regular basis and tweak it based on their views as well as it's what's best for business, nobody's talking about erratically changing stuff.
