look at the media tagged image...you can clearly see the vertical lines...not the stupid road line.

they are sometimes really hard to notice...but they are easily seen in the game..it's driving me nuts.

Make another box around the line. But only where the line is or something. Don't make it huge.

Look towards the creature to the right...You can see the vertical lines near him.
Note I run all these games on max settings.
Still don't see them.

I see them as well. They look like very faint vertical scan lines. Possible graphics card problem? Try updating drivers, then reseating your card if that doesn't work.
I used to have this problem, too. However, mine were horizontal lines.
You just need to adjust your clock and phase.
Here, take this.

Go fullscreen, then auto adjust. If you still have problems, tweak it manually.

That's pretty weird. Probably a GPU problem - If it were a monitor one nobody else would be able to see it, so it's not your clock and phase settings.

It looks like your card is having a hard time drawing gradual lighting changes.
Those lights are where it gets darker, and the space between two lines is slightly darker than the space before it (going left to right).
I don't know much about hardware, so I have no idea if this is accurate or if it helps at all. I'm just using my deductive reasoning skills to highlight the problem, so maybe someone else can figure it out.

It's not a monitor problem if you can see it in a screenshot.

I don't think I've overclocked it I'll check the temperature in a minute.
Obviously just dirt/smudging on your screen. Just give it a wipe.
