No shit. If you go on Kickstarter and treat it like a preorder site, you are going to spend a lot of money on disappointment.
So far I've only backed Pulsar: Lost Colony, it looked like a dream and I really wanted something like it to happen.
I backed a game called Limit Theory, I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dev updates, although the game still looks unfinished as hell.
Yeah which is why I only back stuff from trustworthy people/companies I know and that have proven they can release shit (Might No. 9, broken age, and animusic 3 thus far). Although animusic 3 has fallen pretty far behind right now and rarely ever updates us, but at least they've not given up. I was almost tempted to back a homemade marshmallow kickstarter once because, idk, I was really hungry at the time. Glad I didn't since the few people that got their shipments got literal bags of mold and the person that started the kickstarter vanished lol.

I'm just hoping for another good space dogfighting game. I here that evochron game was pretty good, but haven't given it a try yet.
I thought everybody already understood this?
So far I've only backed Pulsar: Lost Colony, it looked like a dream and I really wanted something like it to happen.
I've only backed one single project myself (within the last day nonetheless) and that's from a company I know and funding a sequel of a game I love. So I have reasonable expectations that it will be released and at least will be okay if not as good as the first game. People should just be more careful about what they are willing to fund, fairly simple premise really.
I thought everybody already understood this?
I think Kickstarter is a good idea overall. Unfortunately, the only thing that gets in the way of a good idea is an idiot.
Backed Planetary Annihilation here myself. Now that I think about it, I really, REALLY need to get around to playing it more.
