• Upgrading my CPU

I just recently bought a 5770 to replace my old GeForce 6200 (had a 8800gts that burned out so I had to go back to the 6200 for a while). My current Motherboard is a 775 socket. I have a e4500 (2.2 gHz Dual core) in my computer right now. I was wondering if this would be a good upgrade. It would be a decent upgrade, but I would recommend this instead: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115131&Tpk=q9400 Make sure your motherboard supports it, though. The manufacturer's website will give you that info.
I would save up That core2quad costs just as much as an intel i5 which is silly. Save up an extra like 70-80 bux unless you have a bigger budget

I only have around $180 Canadian. I can save more money. I was just wondering If it is really worth spending an extra $100-200 to replace the motherboard too. Actually I would have to get new ram as well if I bought a new motherboard, so it would be fairly costly.
a new motherboard doesnt have to cost 100$ Well maybe in canada, but since you're canadian i recommend you shop at NCIX because tax and shipping for newegg is huge
RAM+Motherboard+CPU or CPU just do the CPU for now
