A $180 card that can pump out similar frame rates to my non-ti gtx980. When is too much horsepower going to become a thing for 1080p gamers :P

Stuff like this is why you can buy a VR-ready PC for 500$ now.
when you launch gta5 and you hear a massive coil whine because its running at 300fps
That's when you framecap or use Vsync. Unless you like slowly killing your computer.
That's when you framecap or use Vsync. Unless you like slowly killing your computer.
 I can't find a single source anywhere that says coil whine/extremely high frame rates are bad for the graphics card.
holy fuck newegg ships to australia now? this is great
Honestly, deals like this give me hope that the PC audience is growing. I mean it's already exploded in the last 5 years or so. Hopefully more people make the change.
Oh shit, I'd buy if they delivered to my country
 I can't find a single source anywhere that says coil whine/extremely high frame rates are bad for the graphics card.
they aren't, cards are made to run hard in general too It's just that they aren't insulated fully in the parts that are affected by extremely high framerates. Almost every card I've owned does this really
That's when you framecap or use Vsync. Unless you like slowly killing your computer.
False. To see for yourself, launch any game/3d application that can output like 300+ frames per second, then check the GPU load. It will stay at something like 40% all the time

People have to get over that stereotype of constantly having to upgrade your PC, or that building it is insanely hard. Not that I'd get a desktop right now though, my current situation will only really allow laptops.
