I want to get this GPU:

I'm getting this card because my Optiplex 960 only has a 305 WATT PSU. I don't really see it fit to replace the PSU when I will only be playing COD4.
Could this card max out COD4? I don't think its that hard of a game to max out.
COMP Specs:
Q9550 @ 2.8 GHZ
8 Gigs DDR2 @ 800 MHZ
The 5670 is just a tad better, get that instead.

You could also go for a more expensive 5670 if you want, but I'd just buy one of the cheaper ones I linked you.
If you're a afraid of ATI then yes, by all means just get the gt 240 as there is no reason to argue, just giving you a cheaper and better alternative in this case.
I would need a bigger power supply...
Yes but only because the current one probably doesn't have any extra connectors. Get a ~500W psu and the radeon.
I need to get a job. Then id just buy a 1200 watt psu so I can use it later in future builds.

the PSU would die long before you need anything even close to that

No it runs fine on a 305 watt psu, doesn't need any connectors.

1200w is ridiculous. 500-600w is plenty for all but the most power hungry users, and even then, 700w will be plenty.

If you're hunting for a good PSU. This will serve you well.
you dont want the GT 240, just because its in the 200 series doesnt automatically make it high end.
Really, Wow i guess everyone that has a 295 should cry.
Though 5850 is better
