I'm putting together a new computer for my mom for her birthday. It's been a while since I've pieced one together(not too familiar with latest and greatest hardware atm), so I want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck. She is mainly going to be using it for facebook games, movies, music, etc. Going to need to buy everything aside from monitor, keyboard and mouse. My budget is 400-450 USD, and I plan to order off of newegg. Thanks for your help in advance guys.
went overboard on the PSU but it's about as cheap as a 300W I would have picked instead so why not. $385 with shipping, if you want to you can use a little of the extra money in order to get a CPU cooler or some quieter fans to make it silent but I doubt your mom would care about that. [editline]27th March 2013[/editline] The integrated graphics should be enough for pretty much anything your mom is doing, 1080p movies and stuff are fine with that APU. Trinity builds are ideal for this price range and for what you mother would be using it for so yeah +1 Walrus. I would have gave you a build that fully took advantage of the $450 budget but then I realised you said Facebook games.
This is awesome. Thanks a lot man.
oi wait do you need windows 7/8 as well?
Nah, I've got a copy already. Ordered everything last night, I'll let you know how it turns out.
