Windows randomly hard shutting off instantly, and won't POST again without power cycling

Hi, I have no idea why this happens and I've searched and tried different stuff with no luck. Basically, my desktop will randomly just shut off completely, as if someone unplugged it from the wall. All the fans just stop and all the hardware seemingly stops doing anything. What makes it weirder is that I can't restart without power cycling it via the surge protector or similar. If I don't power cycle it, nothing will come back on, as if it's not even trying to POST.
I'm pretty sure it's not my electric being bad, since I have another computer hooked up to the same strip, and my electricity is very stable at my house. I don't think it's my CPU/GPU/mobo overheating, since I constantly watch the temps and don't notice anything unusual when it happens. I don't think it's something in Windows being bad, since I've gotten no kernel dumps and the reliability monitor only says "The previous system shutdown at $TIME was unexpected". It just started this morning, when I have changed absolutely nothing on my system, so (I think) that would probably rule out faulty RAM - not to mention that I get no blue screen or minidumps...
Any ideas on what I should try please? It's really annoying, especially with how random it is. Thanks.

What are your specs? It could be power supply related.
Oh yeah I forgot to post that, since I sorta ruled out it being the parts since this is the first time it's started in the past 2 months since I built this. My PSU is a SeaSonic X750 Gold.

What you can try is taking out one stick and see if it acts differently, try it for both sticks and that may rule out bad memory modules, also do a memory test. You might also want to get the temps for your CPU, are you using after market cooling?
I am using the Hyper 212 EVO cooler. Temps look fine before it happens. I ran a memtest about a month ago and it was all fine.
I disconnected my GPU and it hasn't happened again yet. That worries me. Is my GPU somehow dying just a couple weeks too late for me to RMA it, or...?

It could be a possibility, does it get loud when gaming? I have never used Gigabyte so I can't really say for sure. Maybe get the temps for that as well, since the GFX card is rendering the OS and everything else, overheating would cause it to shut down as a precaution.
