Upon seeing the first picture in the article, I thought "wow [I]another pixelated indie game.[/I] How original." but after watching the video and seeing the second picture, it really does look like a more in-depth FTL, which is fucking amazing.
Wait, is this from the guys who made Sword & Sworcery? The characters look similar.

What do you expect from small indie studios? Besides, the games I've really enjoyed the past little while have been pixelated indies.
i hope they don't make the same mistake FTL did and allow for modding early on, FTL got lame because there was only one or two small ways you could mod the game

FTL got lame? What? Game itself is brilliant without additional modifications. Don't flag a gane as 'lame' because of mods.

FTL really felt tiny to me, maybe not totally lame but... I really did not feel it. Randomization doesn't automatically mean vast replay value all the time either.
