I haven't build a pc for a while, so what would you recommend for a motherboard. I'm going to run a 5870, and the possibility of crossfire later on. Also is there a huge difference between triple channel memory and dual channel that the core i5 uses?

whats a uATX?
whats a uATX?
Dunno, but that's the best mid-range motherboard.
Dunno, but that's the best mid-range motherboard.
It is like micro atx only as wide as an atx board.
whats a uATX?
different name for microATX
oh cool
Jesus christ i hate working with uATX boards, they are so cramped.
not really
any good atx boards?
there is nothing wrong with microatx

How can a MOBO be recommended without the CPU?
How can a MOBO be recommended without the CPU?
He mentioned an i5.
You could get a AMD 965 Phenom II X4 BE for less. But, you seem to be set on i5.
what would be a good motherboard for phenom II x4 ? I don't think i've got the money for 2 5870's now anyway :P
what happened to your i5
It's a decision between the two, I don't have either yet! I've been looking at reviews, if its alot cheaper I might as well go with the II x2
You could get a AMD 965 Phenom II X4 BE for less. But, you seem to be set on i5.
Might as well be a 955 and OC it 0.2GHz to match it :v:
It's a decision between the two, I don't have either yet! I've been looking at reviews, if its alot cheaper I might as well go with the II x2
The difference between an i5 and a 965 is about $10. The difference between a 955 and an i5 is $40. I'd recommend going with an i5 if you plan on overclocking the cpu, but if not stick with a 955 or 965. Sorry for wrong currency, but it should be about the same difference.
