Now, ahead of the beta cycle, it appears a recent build of Windows 7 SP1 beta (6.1.7601.16537.amd64fre.win7.100327-0053) has leaked, and it is available as a torrent. We checked a couple of torrent sites, and it is a relatively easy archive to find, so it has been downloaded thousands of times already.
Search your favourite website dedicated to whatnot and you'll find it in no time.
When is the main one supposed to be released?
It's shit. Just sayin'
It's shit. Just sayin'
I see what you did there with that there edit.
Got a changelog?
I see what you did there with that there edit.
I thought he meant it was one of those whole builds. Regardless, I used it almost a month ago and it's not worth it.
it's not worth it.]
Care to elaborate? Why did you not like it? [editline]10:31PM[/editline] Nevermind read the doc. Its shit.
Care to elaborate? Why did you not like it? [editline]10:31PM[/editline] Nevermind read the doc. Its shit.
It's unreliable. Has many issues. And there's no reason to install evaluation service packs.
Yeah, but that's basically what you sign up for when you install Windows, isn't it? (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - SteveUK))
Yeah, but that's basically what you sign up for when you install Windows, isn't it?
To install leaked, buggy, quirky service packs which you'll have to uninstall anyway? No it's not what you sign up for.
No, to open your wallet and get buggy, non-compatible trash that requires constant bugfixes and virus protection.
No, to open your wallet and get buggy, non-compatible trash that requires constant bugfixes and virus protection.
if it's really so fucking terrible why does almost everyone who has a computer have Windows installed on it and virus protection? I think people are smart enough NOT to download "FREE $500 GIFT CARD.exe" let's not even start with the hosts of problems linux and mac os have, none of the big 3 OSes are perfect
No, to open your wallet and get buggy, non-compatible trash that requires constant bugfixes and virus protection.
Same goes for any OS you pay for.
Oh man not better hdmi audio! Quickly we must all get this!
I'm not saying Window sucks, I'm just saying that it could be better if Microsoft actually worked on it. Why doesn't Microsoft Office have ODF support? It's a standard. Why is the system so insecure by default? It's all just a big scam. I'll say this again, I don't want to even think about an OS by people who can't even get a simple ballot screen working.

I guess that's what happens when Apple makes Windows. They make it shit on purpose so Mac will sell better. 2. Blame the whole entire company when you should be blaming the Office Devision. 3. It's second behind Linux. Second isn't bad. 4. The most god damn stupidest statement in this thread. You don't want to use an Operating System because another separate branch of Microsoft didn't make a ballot screen exactly how Opera software wants it. Hell by that logic everything by Microsoft from here on out is shit because the Internet Explorer team didn't make something random. You act as if there are 15 people at Microsoft who all work together on everything. "Oh I won't use a Mac either because AppleTV flopped."
Microsoft want to enforce an OOXML standard and use that, when it's grossly inefficient compared to ODF and has patents attached.
Microsoft want to enforce an OOXML standard and use that, when it's grossly inefficient compared to ODF and has patents attached.
k
Microsoft want to enforce an OOXML standard and use that, when it's grossly inefficient compared to ODF and has patents attached.
odf is also currently horrendously half arsed and it's impossible to implement it properly

MS can't include ODF support because they'll get sued over it. MS Can't include an AV program because they'll get sued for that too.
They can't include ODF support, an open standard with no patents attached?

IE may suck but it's pretty much the only way you're going to get quality stuff. Same deal with the other crap they'll get sued for. Seriously.
ODF = OpenOffice. :hurr:

Must have been a mock up screenshot that I remembered. Are half of them even regularly updated?
Must have been a mock up screenshot that I remembered. Are half of them even regularly updated?
I don't think so.
ODF = OpenOffice. :hurr:
ODF = Open Document Format :hurr:
