I was looking in my 8800's box the other day and I found a cable that was a 7-pin connector to the computer, and 3 lines for HD (red green and yellow, with holes to plug into, not pins) and I was wondering what I could use it for. I googled around, and everyone just seemed really confused. Some people said it's for connecting to an HD TV, but it has inputs, not outputs.
They're component cables. Outputs, I believe. I've used the s-video port before.
Those are outputs used to connect your computer to an HDTV. They are not inputs.
He means they are female instead of male...or vice versa. I forget which they are. Anyway, he means they are backwards and can't connect directly into a TV. I've been wondering about this myself.
Spartan is correct, I was trying to say that they are female not male. I understand that they could still be outputs, but it's just seems totally backwards for it to be that way.
They are female for a reason. You need another cable to go from them to the tv.
I connected a tv to pc, but sadly there's no sound. So I had to hack one wire to plug into soundcard's nest
Makes me wonder. In the box for my GTX275, there were a small wire, a 2 pin wire. In 1 end it was 1 solid 2 wired connector, but in the other end it was 2x single connectors. What could this be? Stereo sound?
