So one day I realise after 10 FPS on L4D, that I need a new graphics card. So I walk in Dicksmith with no knowledge about graphic cards and ask if they have one good for gaming. Turns out they have one card in the shop at all. A msi Graphics Card N210-MD512H The person said it was the one he uses and can run WoW on medium/full settings. I don't play WoW so this information was useless to me. The only thing I really know about graphics cards is how to install them. This card is budget ($130 NZD(About $95 USD) Cheap as) and on the site it says Extra Large heatsink ensures the best heat dissipation and keeps zero db noise SSC (Solid State Chock) for No Buzz noise All Solid CAP for longer lifespan Support both 1080P HD movie playback and 7.1 Channel audio transmission Core Processors: 16 Units Core Clock: 589 MHz Shader Clock: 1400 MHz Memory Clock: 800 MHz Memory Size: 512MB DDR2 Memory Bus: 64 bits Dual Output: HDMI + DVI + D-Sub TDP: 31W Card Dimension: 167x69x34mm GPU Features: DirectX: 10.1 OpenGL: 3.1 SLI: No PureVideo HD: Yes PhysX: No HDCP: Yes I know nothing about if its good or not. So the ultimate question is: To get or not to get?

What? I haven't even got the card yet. I am still contemplating/asking facepunch about it.
oh yeah it is okay
You are better off saving up and buying a more expensive one. GT210 isn't that good of a card. Get a 5770 or something similar.
with no knowledge about graphic cards
[editline]01:44PM[/editline] And I am very impatient for somethings. Saving isn't something I am great at.
get a 4850
Do I have to quote myself again? And I loled at FalonKrunch's avatar
What's your current computer specs at the moment?
it is fine if you have a prebuilt and don't have a beefy psu, chances are it is 305w, so yes a 210 will be fine
Uhh CPU : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ RAM : 1.9 GPU : GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a And some other not really needed stuff
actually, get this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Computers/Components/Video-cards/PCIExpress/auction-304668635.htm [editline]11:28PM[/editline]
Uhh CPU : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ RAM : 1.9 GPU : GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a And some other not really needed stuff
the needed part isn't included there, what is your PSU?
That looks like a mighty fine card. Better I assume? And I don't know how do I find out?
you'll have to open your case and look at things. if you can't figure it out take a picture of the sticker on the power supply and we should be able to tell you.
You are better off saving up and buying a more expensive one. GT210 isn't that good of a card. Get a 5770 or something similar.
This. Trust me, I had an x1950 Pro before I had a 5770, and it was a major upgrade. Also, its a pretty bad card if he's not playing WoW on high settings. My x1950 Pro could do that...
I am pretty sure I have http://us.shuttle.com/G2_6800.aspx That computer ( Not Monitor and I don't have the card slot)
so you have a 250watt PSU.
I guess so.
get the 210, anything over 4770 or 9500GT, 240GT, 340GT will probably require a 6pin pci-e, and will require a psu upgrade
get a 4670
Linkies pretty please?
we don't know the site you are using, we would only give you a newegg link, which would be useless as they only ship to US CA
Maybe a link to a card official site? or something like that. Other wise I will use V3's trademe one.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125277&cm_re=4670-_-14-125-277-_-Product but any brand other than sparkle is fine
So hard to find stuff in NZ.... I think I will go into a good Computer component shop and ask them.
