holy shit yes
LucasArts really need to make an HD version, one of my favorite games this is. But I don't want them to mess with the prerendered stuff, that shit is still looking good imo. Just add anti-aliasing, better character models and nicer interface and it's perfect
Fuck yes.
Grim Fandango is one of my favorite games. I hope this means it's possible for it to plop on Steam or GOG. I still have the original big box.
I just use GrimLauncher and that works fine on Win7
And you don't have graphical errors up the wazoo?
Thank god.
I hope this means it's possible for it to plop on Steam or GOG.
Me too, I'd really like to play this game.
Won't happen until Disney says it does.
I just use GrimLauncher and that works fine on Win7
It works fine for me except at one point the game runs too fast to complete. (The underwater conveyor belt)
Me too, I'd really like to play this game.
As Residual's licenced under the GPL which is most likely incompatible with any other licences Lucasarts would want to throw at it I wouldn't hold a huge amount of hope up (but it could still work, we shall see)

Because Grim Fandango was never digitally released, there is no way to get a copy except pirating
It was already playable on modern PCs through [del]ScummVM[/del] the Grim Fandango Launcher (I think? It's been a while), and I played it through to the end without any problems, but it was a little tricky to set up if I recall. Great to see another alternative.
Now they need to step up the Alone in the Dark branch. I must've confused it with something else. As least I left some notes for myself (in case I wanted to play it again later). Might've been with the Grim Launcher, plus some additional patching to get it running on x64.
thank you jesus, you could still install the game and all, but fuck, graphical glitches up the ass, characters making ghosting trails (lol) and shit disappearing
Would it work for Monkey Island 4? I think MI4 runs on the same engine
Would it work for Monkey Island 4? I think MI4 runs on the same engine
According to the ResidualVM wiki, the potential is there, but it isn't working yet.
this is one of the most well written and interesting games i've ever played one of the ending scenes is the most visually & thematically stunning shot i've ever seen in a videogame
I remember loving the hell out of this game
