So we have a shit that gets you mad, happy, sad, etc. Why not one for being scared?

So I just watched District 9, sounds pretty harmless, right?
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I'M STILL SHAKING LIKE A MADMAN.
The aliens weren't the problem, no, what hit home was when [sp]he got the black fluid all over him.[/sp] That in-particular wasn't fear-factor, but [sp]I had no fucking idea he was going to slowly and painfully turn into one of them. Now, I have a Transformation Fear, Per-Se. Now, it isn't the transformation itself that got me, as ironically when done right it's one of my fetishes. No, it was the fact that it was slow, painful and the testing didn't help.[/sp] As he [sp]escaped and hid in District 9, the slow transformation-sequence was horrofying. You could feel the intense pain he going through, not to mention him finally getting a call from his wife, saying she doesn't want him anymore.[/sp] High-Octane Nightmare Fuel started when he [sp]tried to cut off his transformed arm, the gangs wanted to eat his arm, and the transformation kept going, reaching more of his body.[/sp] Now, that was Pretty much as bad as it got, but then [sp]during the Mech-Scene, you noticed it was reaching his face, and his eye looked weird. When he got out of the vehicle, you saw he looked far, far worse then previously, and his eye was horrifyingly large compared to the other. The image of how badly his vision messed up is not fun.[/sp] As it was the ending of the movie, it was relativley calm, until at the end [sp]you see he has completely transformed into one of them. [/sp] That hit highs in my brain, and just, GAH. This shouldn't be as bad as it is, but AAAAAAAAAAAAGH. I'm shaking right now, and now i'm wondering: Any experiences that have shook you, scared you, creeped you out, or were generally very eerie?

Meh, It has alot to do with a personal fear of mine, but I mean, given the nature of what actually scared me, it wouldn't suprise me if it freaked everyone else out aswell :v:

One thing that I find highly fucking terrifying is climbing a ladder when something is chasing you really fucking fast, and you cant turn around to look how far away it is.
And you start climbing that fucking ladder, slow-as-a-motherfucker and you hear the thing come closer and closer of every half a second. That shit makes me panic.

I'm hoping to get a set of these sooner or later, but some things from the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series still freak me out sometimes. There's one story where if it crosses my mind at all when I'm the only one up at night, then I get kind of paranoid. It's midnight right now over here, and that just kind of happened. Those illustrations are beautiful, though.

Oh, sounds like an...er, interesting movie. I guess if it's not a slow one that drags on it wouldn't be that bad, maybe i'll get a DVD of it or something.
