It's a game this is easy to pick up and play, people tend to like that sort of thing.

I find it's a decent game to play when you don't have a computer around and are somewhere like in the waiting room of a doctors office. Not fun to play when you have better things to do though, just to pass the time.
I thought it was a pretty shitty game. I like Crush the Castle better.
It's not the best game in the world, but that's kind of the point. The concept is really basic, it's artistically simple and it's free.
I for one am jealous of the creator's of it, considering it was a physics test that got popular (right?).

It's not free.

What Richy said.
The version(s) I've played have all been free. I'm sorry that your locked down piece of tech charges you for the same game we get for free on droid?
[sp]That isn't sarcasm, I'm actually sorry[/sp]

I prefer paying 1$ for stuff and not having to worry about the ads ruining the gameplay.
And yes, I have played the android version, that ad up in the corner blocked quite a big percentage of the screen.
I have no problems with paying for stuff, but free stuff is still nice, and having the option would be the best.

there you don't even need a fuckin phone

Seriously, I will never fathom how this game is so popular.
Sorry for the page stretch.

I've never played angry birds and I don't intend to.
It seems to me that someone released what is essentially a polished flash game for IOS, and suddenly everyone got all excited about it, and now its everywhere.
If I were to release a Bloons clone with cartoon characters, and touchscreen controls, would I have the same kind of success?
[editline]3rd November 2011[/editline]
What I would LOVE to see, however, is mud and blood 2 remade for android and IOS. It is a brilliant game, that has a ton of content and is a lot of fun, and it would work nicely on those platforms. It can be paused and saved for later, and the rounds can be long or short depending on your settings.
I have no idea what people see in this game.
At the Walmart I work at. We have a TON of Angry bird's shit. Children's toys, Dog toys. Even some clothes stuff.

I'm sorry but I've not even see any adverts. Mainly because I've got used to ignoring them, built in adblock.

The Amazon Appstore for Android has the ad-free version of Angry Birds for $1 or whatever.
I don't know why it's not on the Android Market though.
Bought for 80 cents
i love it

Oh BBC and your tech-related photos.
It's a game this is easy to pick up and play, people tend to like that sort of thing.
Like CoD
I think it's more because that it has become a fad rather than because it's just that good of a game

Angry birds is totally call of duty man
"Ramirez, blow up those pigs!"
This game is so good.
I download it every hour.
I just don't care about "casual" (whatever is the pseudo politically correct term) games v:v:v
I'm glad sites like Facepunch exist, or else there wouldn't be anyway for more nerdy/techy/whateverthefuckweare to share our opinions and promote our values.
Congratulations to them

"Ramirez, blow up those pigs!"
You're dumb, I was saying it's an easy to pick up game.
I'm sick of seeing Angry Birds plushies, shirts, and hats. It is an unoriginal iPhone game.
I didn't believe this at first, but holy fuck it has 50+ million downloads just on the android market
Pretty damn annoying because they just blatantly ripped off crush the castle and other flash games like that and made a profit out of it.

they have absolutely NOTHING in common, you're the dumb one for not knowing games
