I trippleboot Ubuntu, XP and Seven. But about a week ago I formatted my Windows 7 Partition and reinstalled it.
Now, when I start up the PC I get:
Earlier Version of Windows
Windows 7
Windows 7
Ubuntu
In which the top Windows 7 is the one working.
When I enter the seconds one I get a bunch of errors and have to restart.
How do I get rid of the other little bugger?
What bootloader are you using? The Windows bootloader doesn't recognize Linux AFAIK but i don't remember Grub grouping "Earlier Versions of Windows".
If it is Grub, you just need to edit it's configuration files under Ubuntu. Google might help you find them.
Easy BCD can get rid of that extra unneeded entry.

Linux can be added to Windows' Boot Manager if it points to another boot loader (GRUB). So if he did it that way it would work and if I recall correctly GRUB shows what version of Windows he has whereas I know that BOOTMGR in Vista+ will just show Earlier Versions of Windows. So I'm almost certain he's using BOOTMGR.

Okay, now, I can't find a download link.
Please provide one.
Also how does this shit work? Seems complicated.

Great. Got rid of the little bugger, and I also found my Recovery Partition, allowing me to reinstall XP and format all the shit I had on my PC!
Now, does this program exist for XP?
With XP you just have to edit boot.ini
You can use notepad for that right?
Also where is it? I understand it's somewhere in "WINDOWS" folder, but where?

Searching gave me
BOOTSTAT, BOOTCONS, DIAGBOOT, NTOSBOOT-B00DFAAD.PF, BOOTMAN, BOOTOK, BOOTVID.DLL, BOOTVRFY, DMBOOT, FIRSTBOOT.CMD
I'm still here, so you can reply if you have an answer.
C:\boot.ini
You have to change the settings "show hidden files and folders" and "show protected operating system files" to see it.
