Just the other day, some older man came to me and asked for help with his old 'feature phone' (I didn't know that was the term, but sure. Y'know, 'regular' cellphone). I honestly did not know how to work that ancient piece of arcane machinery.
Hehe. I love how I learn these terms are only learnt once it becomes less useful.
Semi off-topic: I use a feature phone for my calling and texting, battery lasts a week, and is far more reliable. I really want a competitive device that isn't a phone, just a 'Smart Device'. Would probably give the designers more flexibility also.
