I already lost my favorite, Blender, because of my so called 'upgrade' to 64bit and I am currently downloading my second, XSi Mod tools to see if that works, though it already says it wont work with 64 bit, but I'm trying it anyway, does anyone know of any software thats free that I could use for modeling?
How did you lose Blender by upgrading to 64 bit? The 32 bit version should work just fine for you.
If you can get into the Autodesk students section you can get 3ds Max 2010 on a 6 month license for free.
Blender works for me:

1) Install blender
2) Install 64-bit python 2.6.2
3) Done.
Wait, SO should I install the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version, since you say the 32 bit will work, because I get an error whenever I try to start up the 64 bit version

Also what Python are you talking about

Changed the link to ensure 2.6.2 is downloaded instead of 3.1. 3.1 doesn't work with anything really.
