Samsung Model 932BWPLUS Monitor not working properly
1 replies, posted
Ever since last night, I've been having trouble with this monitor.
When I was shutting down my computer and I pressed the button to turn off my monitor, the screen refused to shut off and the buttons no longer work. I have to unplug or replug the monitor to get it to turn off and on. This is very frustrating for me, and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this situation. I have never had any troubles with this monitor before, and I don't know why it would start acting up like this.
Any help would be appreciated, since I've checked everything and all seems to be in order.

The only two things that can really fail in an LCD screen are the inverter board and the control board. When the inverter fails, the CCFLs won't work and the screen will be near-black (not the case here.) The next problem would be the control board (where all of the inputs, LCD controller, exterior control buttons, etc. are connected to.)
The inverter fails much more often, but the control board can fail if the capacitors on it are faulty, or one of the ICs fried. It could even be a loose connection, but you'd have to open up the monitor to check. If the monitor is still under warranty (probably not) you should RMA it. In the most likely case it isn't, you can buy both a replacement inverter and control board online for pretty cheap:
