oh god
Wow, maybe I should've preordered.
Asked whether there were any measures in place that would prevent GTA V players from producing similar kinds of mods, Rockstar said they were determined to “preserve the integrity of the GTA Online experience”. “We will be working to prevent anything that detracts from that experience or has a negative impact on the community of players overall,” they said. “But we are excited for PC players to get their hands on the game and experience it for themselves.”
:/
GTAV has officially outsold the Original Super Mario Bros, with 40 million copies of SMB sold across several systems with a 3 decade headstart going against GTAV's 41 million copies sold. Holy fucking shit.
3 century
Legacy Mario Bros, now available on the Wood Block 1715 ed.
:/
Hopefully that just means making sure people aren't using godmode and ruining the entire thing with cheats and SP modding is fine
Hopefully that just means making sure people aren't using godmode and ruining the entire thing with cheats and SP modding is fine
The main problem I see with Rockstar controlling mods is that we'll keep having to fork over microtransactions if we don't like the grind in GTAO, rather than hiding them and allowing the player to do whatever they like via. mods. Some of the best fun I've had in GTA IV has been with the Simple Native Trainer in a private lobby with friends, spawning supercars and automatic weapons in and reaking havoc.
Fingers crossed for my GTX 970 being able to max it out at 1080p60, I got it pretty much just because of this game
Fingers crossed for my GTX 970 being able to max it out at 1080p60, I got it pretty much just because of this game

while recommended spec systems should manage 1080p and meet 60fps on medium settings.

Recommended Specs: Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD7870 2GB
A pretty stupid comparison, but it's something
Hopefully that just means making sure people aren't using godmode and ruining the entire thing with cheats and SP modding is fine
Hopefully they'll do the smart thing and just create separate unranked matches for people who are using mods. So if you wanna mess around with friends with a bunch of mods, you can do it just fine, only you won't progress your character in that way. That would be fair to everyone.
Sucks that they kept the Social Club login garbage. I had trouble with their servers constantly in GTA 4.
Sucks that they kept the Social Club login garbage. I had trouble with their servers constantly in GTA 4.
It's improved a lot since then. In Max Payne 3 it was almost fine, it only had some issues with friend invites sometimes.
Fingers crossed for my GTX 970 being able to max it out at 1080p60, I got it pretty much just because of this game
I hope my GTX 780Ti can pull 1080p60 as well. Seeing as a GTX 760 can reach 30 fps on 4k, I'm confident but you never know.
Hnng i am excited for all of it, also that Director Mode where you can stage stuff by adding NPC's with (i think) waypaths and such should be incredible. This reignited my enthusiasm for GTA V.

It's not a particularly powerful or impressive card, especially if they're using the 2GB version.
Well fuck, I'm not buying this game for a while then.
But the minimum specs are like 10 year old hardware.
But the minimum specs are like 10 year old hardware.
Holy fuck I didn't realize how old my CPU + MOBO are
I bought my PC in 2010, and these are my specs: [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Yz8pOPr.png[/img_thumb]
You're waaaay past the minimum requirements, what are you worrying about?
Hopefully with a bit of tweaking I can run this on a 760 on high
Got a 660ti, hopefully I can run it slighty above medium
that's it already placed a order for a 1TB WD Caviar Blue and gonna buy GTA 5 tomorrow
I have a 680, which should be fine, but I'm looking to upgrade to a 780ti any day now, which should be more than enough, right?
60fps is all fine and dandy, but do we know if there is support for monitors with a higher refresh rate, like 120hz?
I just hope my i7 and 8 GB RAM will pull my performance up from my ancient Radeon HD 5770. Yeah I know I need a new graphics card.
But the minimum specs are like 10 year old hardware.
BUT... Could I run it on a core2duo at 3ghz, 4gbram and a 9600gt? The ultimate challenge Ill proly buy it if it works.
"You will need to sign up to the Rockstar Social Club app to install and activate the game, and the game will periodically check in with the service for verification - but it’s “not an always-on system”." No thanks, not gonna take this shit, not from anyone not from rockstar
Really? Because my CPU is quite old, it's bottlenecking my GPU quite hard.
The minimum CPU requirement is a Core 2 Quad, did you even look at the requirements?
Maybe now people will stop whining about it being postponed to make the port better. But who am I kidding...
