Although I wonder if the guy who played the live-action Kleiner had any idea what the short was supposed to be about.

How old somebody looks isn't enough to gauge how well versed they are in video games. Trust me.
I thought that once, though.
My grandad managed to stay around til about 70-ish and it felt really out of character when I found out video gaming was like his daily hobby.

One of my grandads is an avid gamer, plays PS3 and xbox games, along with some computer games (mainly casual stuff on the pc). He's 65.
