How do I stop my Xbox One from constantly turning itself on?

I didn't see an Xbox megathread so I'm posting here
I'll just be sitting on the lounge playing PS4 or watching Netflix, and the fucker randomly turns itself on! Hell I'll even be laying on my bed in the next room and it still fucking does it! It is incredibly infuriating having to constantly get up to turn it off, so how can I stop it from doing it without leaving it constantly unplugged?
Another thing too quickly, half of the time when I do actually want to turn it on (via the controller), it refuses to recognise that the controller wants it to turn on. The controller's light will just keep on flashing as if it's searching for the XB1. How could I fix this problem as well?
Thanks for the help. Fucking piece of shit hardware.
Upgrade to the Xbox one s, it's a new feature that it doesn't turn on randomly
You could always switch it off at the wall too, or hell you could Even run an extension cord to the couch and have another cord that you can plug in and unplug whenever you want to use it
Possibilities are endless
I'm pretty sure there's an option that's like "energy efficient or not energy efficient" the not energy efficient turns it self on to do updates to games, apps, what not. Energy efficient keeps the console off.
Do you have any applications that are trying to cast to it? You can wake it up using Youtube casting and such.

I don't think so

I'll have a look into it, thanks
