I've got a spare 21" LCD monitor that I'd like to connect to my media PC. My media PC is currently connected to another TV, but it's far inferior to the HD monitor that I have spare. The other TV is connected via S-Video, whereas if I connected this monitor, I could use DVI for higher output quality. My only problem is that if I connect the monitor to that PC, I will lose the cable that is also connected to that TV.
This is where the tuner card comes in. I've done some basic research and to my understanding, you connect the cable to the PC via the tuner card, and it is then able to be displayed on the monitor. What I don't understand completely is whether it has digital output, HD output, or if it is also possible to connect video game systems to the monitor via the TV tuner card as well.
I'd also like to maybe hear some testimonials from people who might already have a tuner card. Are they worth it? What kind should I steer towards? What features would you recommend I get for myself? Have you had any issues with them? Do they accept video game console input/output?
My old media PC had an ATI All-In-Wonder. Never had any issues with it. Never tried hooking up a console.
I used to have a tuner card on a pc, it managed to display stuff from the ps2 hooked up to it but the recording was really crap quality but that's probably a problem with that card.
I bought a cheap card to use with my ps2, it was ok. picture quality seems kinda shitty, but I can't tell if thats the card or it being stretched.
By picture quality seems shitty, did you mean for the TV aspect? Or alltogether. See, I'm looking for something that will display television as just as it would display television on a normal widescreen television.
As a side note, is there any way to find out if a tuner card will work with media center?
Here's a question. Does anything exist that can record from an HDMI input?
i THINK THE 3650 ALL IN WONDER WILL
