i think Simcity V should be a case-study on how to understand your playerbase and also an example of the schizophrenic internet service in the U.S. is, we have game-makers saying "we're making everything online everytime" and forcing us to use massive amounts of bandwith to download the games and run them, meanwhile we have IPs that are doing their best to make sure we have less and less bandwith and data-caps so we cannot even use the game
