I am interested to see what they do with Source 2. I hope we get better dev tools like a massive improvement over Hammer.
I would love if they got rid of that map size restriction on Hammer. It kills me that I can't make maps as big as I want them to be. As far as I'm concerned, even dynamic lighting takes second place on my list, with increased map sizes at #1. Other things I'd like to see are: higher brush limit, more cooperative displacements, dynamic ingame displacements (a la Battlefield), day/night cycle, dynamic lighting, a more fleshed out sound acoustics system, and particle illlumination (smoke bright or dark depending on light cast onto it).
