When i press the startbutton, everything starts up for about 2 secs, then it shuts down. and sometimes it keeps on doing this for a minute, and sometimes it just stops, Whats the problem? it happened out of nowhere.

I am guessing Desktop. Try removing all but one of your ram sticks and rebooting. Was there a power surge recently?
Get a new power supply.
its a laptop yes, ive tried to start without battery and only the cable, same thing, also the same when i try with only the battery. Should i remove one of the ramsticks and try?
You might try some kind of live cd to see if it would work that way.
Something may have gotten fried.
Fried ok, ill open up the motherboard and check it out
Don't open up the laptop because you may still have a warranty on it. If that is the case then return it to the manufacturer and get a new one because chances are you cannot fix a laptop in case of hardware failure (other than RAM sticks and possibly the CPU).
