Plugging into my USB restarts my computer (Hyper Transport sync flood error)

Alright, about 5 minutes ago I went to go plug in my Saitek X-52 flight stick (for the first time on this PC, I believe), and my computer restarted itself before I even barely had the USB cable touching. When it came back up, it had an error that said this:
A Hyper Transport sync flood error occurred on last boot. Chassis intruded! Fatal Error...System Halted.
This is on the bottom of the American Megatrends screen I get that contains info about what SATA devices are connected and all that jazz.
So I tried again, to see if it would occur again, and it did. However, I tried a USB thumb drive and it worked fine in the same port. But plugging in my iPod cable once again restarted my PC.
Only problem I just noticed is that my foobar2000 became a little messed up, so I might have to reinstall that.
Anyone know what's going on? Here are my specs:
Asus M4A78T-E Mobo
4 GB RAM
Vista Home Premium 64bit
AMD Phenom 2 X4 955 BE @ 3.2 GHz
750W Corsair PSU
HD4850 512MB
Edit: Oh, and my case is an HAF 932, and the USB port on the front is the one that's doing this. I have my mouse and keyboard on USB ports in the back and it's fine.
Edit 2: And I'd like to say that I used to have my iPod USB cable plugged into this USB slot almost all the time and it never had a problem. I also had used my Logitech Driving Force GT in this slot with no problems.
I also just did a quick scan with Malwarebytes and it found nothing. And I cleaned out my case with a can of air and vacuum cleaner.
According to some posts on the AMD processor forums, it could be several things.
1) Bad CPU
2) Wrong voltage on CPU (some boards set the CPU to the max voltage)
3) Defective RAM
4) Incompatible RAM set at the wrong voltage.
About the 4th one, I've heard that you can't use DDR3 with a voltage higher than 1.6v without risking damage to the memory controller on the CPU. If you have DDR3 that requires more than 1.6v, you may have to get different RAM.
Yeah, I've done a little research and saw a couple people doing voltage switches in the BIOS, but I don't understand why it would start doing it right now, when I could use this USB port before with no problems.
