I tried my hand at making gifs, and have had success using VirtualDub with a shitload of plugins, and Photoshop to make gifs.
Only problem is that these gifs turn out over 6mb in size. That's if photoshop even manages to finish rendering it without running out of memory.
I never use over 300 frames, I make it a reasonable size, and I set lossy to 30.
All to no avail.
So then I started using Gif Movie Gear. Giddy with excitement, I load up all my frames, only to be greeted with this.

You see this shit? It won't load them in the right fucking sequence! It DEMANDS I number them like this: 001, 002, 003, 004 and so on.
So I ask you for help, FP. Is there a way to batch rename files in this way, like that specific sequence (001, 002, 003, 004), so I can make some damn gifs?
I like using GAP for gimp to make GIF's, don't forget to optimise for difference etc.
just rename them 001 002 003 ect upp to...034
Since its not that many I dont see the issue in renaming them.
or try this, makeagif.com/ Since your trying to make a "animation" by use of Frames.

I'll give it a shot.
It's quite disheartening. I've tried Ulead, Beneton, and movie gear and none work well.

You want me to manually rename 300 frames? You can only upload 20 files on that site.
I'm talking actual, proper gifs.
GAP has a 'split video in to frames' option, it's all common sense from there on, just don't forget to tick 'create one multilayer image'

Now you didnt say anything about 300 frames, I read you losly used 30 or so I just got 34 from your screenshot. But if you have the time....I dont see the problem in renaming all 300, takes a quick second to click rename and add 001-300.jpeg
