So, I bought a fractal designs case and the audio messes up when I plug in a usb device. I'm worried that this may damage my motherboard because I know nothing much at all about electronics.
Basically, when I plugin a usb device I hear interference in my headphones. Will this cause any permanent damage to my motherboard?
It's safe. If you want you can try to prevent it by moving the cables around; keep the USB and audio cables as far away form each other as possible.
Do you have a small form factor MOBO?
I have an mATX asus motherboard.
Yeah those smaller boards have trouble with crosstalk. Noting you can really do about it.
Make sure you buy a normal atx board next time.
