Goddamn this is annoying, when you hover over the taskbar buttons, it glows orange - reminds me of XP's alert thingy like when you get messages and stuff. Any way to hide this? I don't know what to search on google because i don't know what to call this...
That's the window alerting you something happened, you want to get rid of that? :O

So, I just don't think that option is open to you, unless someone else who has it knows any different. I looked on the site and it said: "While installing Windows 7, due to it being in Beta, you are flying solo." So tough luck until the 22nd of October, tell me how it goes in May 2010 when I get out of Basic Training and AIT. [editline]07:05PM[/editline]
No it's not.
Doesn't windows vista do that to? Whenever I get a message over Skype or Steam Chat it flashes orange telling me someone sent a message.
Um, he said when he HOVERS THE MOUSE OVER THE ICON IN THE TASKBAR.
Lol what? He needs to get over that. Why get all huffed up over something so simple? But Um Still Um he um ah um, ummmmmmm, ummmm Has to wait until Windows 7 comes out THEN figure out how to change it after buying the full thing. Windows don't give a flying fuck if people find that as a problem in the Beta.

That hover color is defined by the icon. Get a green icon or something.
Turn off Aero?
That hover color is defined by the icon. Get a green icon or something.
So it is. Never noticed that before.
It's not a bug. And windows 7 is in the RTM stage.
WELL, last time I (me, Donutsalad, notyou.) checked it was in Beta.
TechNet Subscribers already got the RTM version.
WELL, last time I (me, Donutsalad, notyou.) checked it was in Beta.
RTM: July 22, 2009 Retail: October 22, 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7
WELL, last time I (me, Donutsalad, notyou.) checked it was in Beta.
I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about. Beta was ages ago, it's been through RC, and it's in RTM now. Nothing should change from the RTM to the Release in October, and this effect is most likely fixable by tweaking something in the registry or theme.
It's okay if i hover over the button, but the goddamn glow is still there when i move my mouse out of the taskbar..

Also, how could i remove the menu when i ALT+CTRL+DELETE, and just having the taskmanager pop up? Never really used vista, though i know it's the same there..

Or die Trying.
Now i'm just nitpicking, but can i make the "clock space" smaller? It just annoys me
Pay attention Fool [editline]08:35PM[/editline] see. it's been awhile since I checked, so shut up. Or die Trying.
Why don't you die? You have no idea what the fuck you're on about. The version he has now is going to be exactly the same as the one that is released on October.

I never checked on the progress. And I was joking about the "or die trying." Now go watch some anime and dance to the intro songs.

Also you just make yourself look more like an idiot by insulting anime.
right click task bar > open task manager.
Because you can always get to the taskbar.
Because you can always get to the taskbar.
yea, unless explorer freezes.
What do you do when you're full screen. [editline]12:58AM[/editline]
ctrl >alt > esc
Nothing.
