This morning I started up my Computer, everything was fine, Then suddenly Blue Screen. It came up with
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try chaging video adapters. Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode. Technical Information: *** STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF85F9AD9, 0xF898B7A4, 0xF898B4A4)
So, I restart my PC. Upon restart it comes up with the Windows has encountered an error,Do you with to Start Windows Normally, Safe Mode, Last Known God Config. I have tried with all of them, and I still get the BSOD. I don't know my specs, and I can't find them as I don't have the sheet with them on. But I know that my Pc is a Dell and Windows Xp. If that helps at all.
Get a Windows XP cd and run a repair install.
doesn't work, I'm at start up screen that says to run safemode or start windows normally. I've put in the CD and Nothing.
Can you boot on the cd? If not, you need to change the order of what to boot on first, I have them like this: Floppy CD-ROM Harddrive That way, it will check if there's a bootable CD before booting on your harddrive.
How do I do that? Also when I put the CD in, I hear it spinning, but nothing.
Usually you have to press DEL when you can see the POST message. Then you'd normally see a GUI, check for osmething like "boot options" or something. Don't touch anything you don't know what it is
Alright I'l try that. Also note that i'm not on my PC now, I'm typing it on a laptop.
