awww thats so cute, david cage thinks he can write
Look, all you want is to make a movie where you can hit a button every now and then to make a choice. Stop pretending you want to make games, your idea of a perfect game is literally a really long movie.
I'm actually pretty excited for this since the story is interesting to me.
I think the idea of being able to make choices for the character and having the setting be like a movie, gets you more immersed in the story and creates a memorable experience. Sure, most of the game will be 'push x to do this' but Its best to think of it as an interactive movie game, and that's in its own way a good thing.
it's the reason Heavy Rain was so good.
They've also never shown this section of the game before.

Shot in the dark? I say it's in Dubai, based on the fact that she's an overseas CIA Operative and well, this is a David Cage game.

Exactly. For all the flak David Cage gets, I'm glad that people like him are around, and I respect him for trying to bring something new to the medium even if the execution has been unpolished so far. Remember, just because stuff like Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain exist doesn't mean the whole industry is going to take that path, and I don't think we should be so eager to bash Cage just because his games play out like interactive pieces of film.
Does surprise me that people so readily go after the gameplay (or lack thereof) in Cage games but Walking Dead turned around and won a whole bucketful of GOTY awards.
-snip fp is being terrible-
I hope this game ends up having matrix/dragonball fights with Mayan shamans

I am glad games like this are still being made. I love the style of them. The problem is David Cage isn't the best writer... Heavy Rain was full of inconsistencies, awkward dialogue and actions, and plot holes. And Indigo Prophecy... Well...
He can make a good first act that draws you in, but they just lose all interest after a while.

I'm just saying it's equally likely that she's at a halloween party.

The end of the second, and entire third act in both Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain neither make sense, or are well done. The identity of the Origami killer, for one, makes zero sense if you even remotely give a thought to it.

Pretty lame party. No decorations, or even people.

Yeah.
Though I do have to give David Cage credit, Indigo Prophecy is among the most... memorable games I've ever played.
[editline]24th July 2013[/editline]
Also I wonder how he's going to handle a female protagonist. He's had a bit of a skewed view on women in his games. Madeline from Heavy Rain [sp]always ended up in creepy rape-y scenarios where she's helpless to defend herself[/sp], Carla from Indigo Prophecy [sp]just breaks down and fucks Lucas- the same person she's been hunting down for MURDER- in a dirty subway car...[/sp]
david cage is a pretentious hack who can't write anything good.

beyond two souls looks awful.
Good cast though. I would have loved to see a nicely penned thriller with Dafoe and Ellen Page mmm *licks lips

He still has improved, tho.
the worst part is that there are people genuinely excited for this "game"

fixed that
I'm sorry some of you guys didn't enjoy heavy rain. For me it's still one of the best games I've ever played.
I remember playing Heavy Rain and being completely blown away, and then a few months after watched the Two Best Friends Heavy Rain Let's Play and it looked REALLY crappy, the dialogue and the animation was so awkward.
