I'll try to keep this brief.
One day, I thought that my computer deserved a wipe and re-installation. When I got to the reinstalling part, it asked for disks that I didn't have, so I called tech support and they said they had no idea what was wrong, so basically my computer is a giant door-stop now and I can't do shit with it.
I do however, have a working computer (though much shittier). I was wondering if there was any way I could use it get a working copy of XP onto it.
I don't have any blank DVDs bigger than 4.5 or so GB, so I think that's out of the question, but I do have an ethernet cord long enough to reach between each computer, so I might be able to FTP necessary files over.
Any help at all would be really appreciated .
By "tech support" I meant the people who built my computer (local place). They said that they never had that problem before, and said they gave me all the disks.
About the disks, I remember it asking for a Service Pack 2 disk, and a "Windows XP Professional Edition CD-ROM", even though I was installing media center edition.
I formatted with a bootable cd that was part of the installation disk set (install disk #1)
