Laptop mobos are incredibly expensive to replace. Your best bet is to keep searching eBay, or find a motherboard from a lower-spec Inspiron that fits in your case.
I see one for $130 on eBay.
why replace laptop mobo?
very expensive, not worth it probably
Good point. What's wrong with your current mobo?
My roommate wants her motherboard replaced because the power-jack not only came unsoldered, but something keeps shorting out on the circuitry inside, and now it won't even turn on. I know it's the board, because the first sign of foul-play was that the battery wasn't charging, even after a new battery and new charger. I know the laptop is ancient, but she thinks that just because she paid over $3,000 for it new over 6 years ago, that it's worth saving now... Some people...

She bought the motherboard from a guy on ebay, for $95 USD and the IT department at her work is going to replace the bad motherboard with the new one.
