What's with devs and calling the 4th or 5th game in the series by the name of the first game, with no subtitle or number next to it? In this case it's not even a reboot, it's just a new SimCity game.
This Simcity looks great! But I hope they don't forget the classy as fuck jazz music we had back in Simcity 4 Simcity4 had an incredible soundtrack, And I hope this one has an incredible soundtrack as well

Once again I say, SimCity for ants. Those cities are so fucking small it's pathetic.
Once again I say, SimCity for ants. Those cities are so fucking small it's pathetic.
Eh. We haven't really seen a decently sized game yet. The footage that we do have is a guy making a very small city, kind of sets a bad impression.

Why have they not yet shown a city bigger than like my route to a nearby mcdonalds.

Hell in this video alone you can see several across the landscape already built before they focus on each one. They're tiny, all of them. It's less like Sim City and more like Sims 3 Neighborhood
drm
fgn? [editline]0[/editline] At least we now know for sure that there will indeed be cities
Eh. We haven't really seen a decently sized game yet. You can clearly see in the video that the borders of the city just end where the buildings are in perfect straight lines.
drm
It's designed to be like an MMO. Realtime multiplayer with friends and pretty much everything you do effects a global economy system. Noone bitches when you have to be online to play WoW or Guild Wars 2.
They don't look like proper cities though. They haven't done anything to make the unoccupied pace between buildings in a non grid-based city look normal. There are just patches of empty green space. I mean yeah, sometimes they put trees there, but what city has THAT amount of random green bits?
Noone bitches when you have to be online to play WoW or Guild Wars 2.
but the fun of Sim City was building a huge ass city, saving, then destroying it and ruining everything, then just loading your save and continuing in a different manner. The always online shit is preventing players from doing that. At least from what I originally read, they might have changed that now.

They did the EXACT same thing, but there were options to play the MMO free, non-free, or not to play at all.

I cant believe people try and defend the DRM in this. Its the reason im not getting this game, everything else looks pretty fucking good, but the DRM is atrocious. Sim city is a singleplayer game first.
