It's not just a reformat and reinstall thing, I want to keep some key programs but I'm not sure how to carry them over properly. I'm running windows 7 and I have my key but the key was originally vista (hp's vista to 7 upgrade thing), I also have a legitimate copy of Microsoft Office and Kasperskey anti virus. My question is 1: How do I reinstall the OS using my current key and 2: How do I keep or copy over these programs to the fresh OS without getting new keys? I know it may seem simple to a lot of you guys but it could really help me out. Thanks!
Also besides the programs stated above I want to clear everything else out.

But in all seriousness, just copy the program files folder with them in, onto a memory stick. That should do it in most cases.
You can just use the same key you used at first when you installed the programs. so with like microsoft office, you can just insert the DVD or w/e media you have it on and run the setup. and then just insert the key you have if it asks for it.
Although the upgrade key might only work if you upgrade from vista, not a clean win 7 install but not sure about that.
