When chatting on steam or such, do you use periods at the end of your sentence?

I've always noticed, that off and on, i might put a period at the end of a sentence in steam chat or something, and sometimes i don't. Which is really weird, because without thought i use proper grammar on here, but chatting-wise, its like my mind tells me not to.

Sometimes I use punctuation and capital letters and all that jazz. Sometimes I don't.
I use it when I'm just chillin, but when I'm pissed I'll skip the shit and get to the point.

Nah. Only on forums and on Twitter is my grammar proper. Anywhere else I don't see the point.
