Could have waited a bit longer to show us what we are actually buying though...
Year 1 and 2 were good, sure, but come the fuck on...
None of these countries really interest me and their recent trend with the new operators is garbage. I mean Morocco, really?
Shit I hope the Y2 discount didn't end, I was gonna binge shop and blow my 100,000 Renown.

Why not?
Having a somewhat lesser known nation sounds great.
while im not a fan of it, y2's pass did the same thing
Yeah ofc but they could have given us a little more than "yeah you're getting 8 more operators"
I know I'm getting 8 more operators, and I know I'll eventually buy it, probably sooner than later. But give us a little something to go on maybe?
i don't see why this game should get a free pass on the microtransactions when sw bf 2 had a similarly stupid progression system
Why not?

Because the whole point of Team Rainbow going back to the very first book is that they are an elite global Counter-Terrorist force. I don't see how the Moroccan police can get a candidate into this extremely elite-class unit when they don't even have a dedicated CTU or any real operational history. If they wanted an African Unit there's so many better choices.

They're not alike at all.

siege's progression system is flawed but nowhere near the levels of bfront2 lmao

Getting the dlc ops can be kind of a grind, but it's not that bad and unlocking the og ops isn't that hard either and can get them at a pretty nice pace.
Also no RNG except for cosmetics.

But yeah, it could be better.

You can get all cosmetics separately anyway apart from seasonal ones. The loot boxes are mostly a side thing.
I think one thing siege does right is that the alpha packs (loot boxes) can't be purchased with real money at all, just renown (in-game currency earned through scoring and challenges)
morocco, and repeats of US, French, UK, and Russia but no Australia
okay
siege's progression system is flawed but nowhere near the levels of bfront2 lmao
infact, it would probably take less time to unlock everything in SW BF 2 than it would in siege. Seriously fuck the operators that cost like 100k+ renown.

Did you buy the starter edition
Did you buy the starter edition
Even that only has operators at 12.5k renown. He's clearly just talking out his ass.
while it would take significantly longer to unlock everything in bf2 than siege, if you got the starter edition siege is a monumental grind to unlock all characters
The starter edition is definitely awful and a massive trap for people who don't read the FAQ for it. "Approx. 15 hours to unlock 1 operator using in-game Renown" is some real horseshit.
All my friends got it because "Oh, it's only $8 on sale!" and hated the experience so much they ended up buying the Year 1 bundle anyway just so they had some variety in who to play.

They cost 25k renown at most as far as I can remember though?
It's doable but...

Same as me.
I endured a few operators, but it got old fast since I had to farm every single assignment instead of playing the regular game.
Bought Y1 and Y2, and might aswell buy Y3 really.
And I haven't bought all the starter operators yet.

I forget what the math is, but it'll take you about the same time to unlock any of BF2's heroes normally as it will one of the DLC operators if you play both normally. It's much, much shorter to get the original ops of course.
morocco, and repeats of US, French, UK, and Russia but no Australia

Damn right.
Where's Italy.

No operator costs 100k renown. 100k renown is like 4 DLC operators from what I remember
Wait, are Ubi still too much of a pussies to add Israeli operators?
Yet we have a 3-4 different flavors of asian characters.
Guess they realized their fanbase will swallow anything they throw at them.
People forget that siege's progression at launched revolved around renown which only gave you new operators there were no headgear, uniforms, alpha packs, camos, whatever when it first came out. Now it's got a ton of stuff you can buy with renown and alpha packs are just a loot box but you can still just buy the shit with free in-game currency.
Buying operators needs to be adjusted overall but at least you can still get them for free by playing, or choosing to simply support them for their good work, and it doesn't take much time anyway.
ash is israeli
Vaguely Israeli. Shes with the FBI, and ultimately there is no IDF, Mossad, or any other Israeli forces in the game, and nor will there be.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ash's bio gets edited in the near future.

It's almost as if their fanbase cares more about the gameplay itself rather than what flag the operators have on their backs. Who would have thought?
What's up with the hard on on Israel? It's like one of the most wanted country, is there a specific reason for this?
It's almost as if their fanbase cares more about the gameplay itself rather than what flag the operators have on their backs. Who would have thought?
Actually Siege fanbase cares about new characters as much as they care about gameplay.
And it's not about nationality but an actual task forces. Ash can be Israeli but she still represents FBI.
Plenty of people were asking about Mossad/IDF/Shayetet 13 since Year 2.
What's up with the hard on on Israel? It's like one of the most wanted country, is there a specific reason for this?
I dunno man, maybe because it's a game about various anti terrorist forces from different countries.

The country that the operators represent is so insignificant too. They don't even use weapons that their countries are known for in most cases.

I get that, but why Israel specifically? I mean, seeing the political situation over there, I can understand why they don't want to introduce them. But do they have like, more anti terrorists units? Cool gadgets and weapons? Good looking bdus? What set them appart from the rest? What makes them a top pick?
