Prototype 1 is 100% worth that. Don't expect much graphically, even for its time it looked really dated, but the gameplay is great fun.
Prototype 2 is more of the same but with a lot cut out, its ok at best but not as good as the first one.

It started to kick my ass on the hardest difficulty, but on normal it was manageable, other than the exceptional timing required to complete some of the escorts and the final boss that is. When it came to other boss fights or prolonged battles it was just a case of "hide here, scum health off civs there" until you wore the boss down.
The challenges however can get fucked. I almost had the Platinum trophy on the PS3 version, barring one challenge that I just could not get the best time on. I tried dozens of times in one sitting and I just couldn't manage it. They were not challenges, they were torture.
