Hello, so I'm looking to pick up a GTX 980 TI because I got my first paycheck. Also looking to play Metal Gear Solid V on highest settings because it comes free with the card so thats some extra savings.
Any suggestions so far? Brand-wise? I plan on overclocking the card.
Currently I've got my sights on the Gigabyte one because its on sale and its also got 3 fans but I might also purchase some custom cooling for the card.

You probably can't purchase a custom cooler for that card because it's probably not a reference PCB.
The G1 is in the top end with several other 980ti cards that run on air. The only things that get better than those are the hybrid cooled cards and the water cooled cards. They all overclock to about the same amount really.
The Palit (who own Gainward) 980ti Super Jetstream is on par with the G1, it may be cheaper in your country than the G1, I would keep a look out for that. Otherwise, get the G1.
Hey, thanks for the suggestions.
Can't find The Palit anywhere but I've reserved a G1 unless someone wants to say otherwise. I've always been a loyal Gigabyte fan (my last 3 cards have been from Gigabyte).
If anyone else has input, I'll definitely read what you post!
Yeah, the Gigabyte G1 is a really good card.
Evga has the best support iMO
The MSI cooler is actually more silent and cooler than almost all other cards:

I just ordered ASUS Trix 980 Ti for £537 or so, actually it got cheaper. But no game supplied with it
