Judging by the reviews it may need a little patching.
I hope they'll add a gameplay video too, what's there looks great but doesn't really say much.
Yeah there needs to be a gameplay video. The concept is great, I've always wanted something like Monster Hunter on PC.
30 fps cap (all game-logic tied to fps, too), bad optimization, and 0 mouse support, so a controller is a must. Crappy pc ports are pretty much par for the course for Koei.
The game's really fun so far, though. Plays very similarly to monster hunter.

Oh, also no english dub, if that bothers you.
Can't speak for the port, but as games go, I've 40 hours on the PS4 version and I'm having a blast. The best way to put it I feel is that it's Monster Hunter without any of the legacy features that hamper it. Also there are hot springs and shrine maidens.
Posting it here because it's relevant

personally ive never had any problems with their dynasty 8/empires ports
This is basically Japanese Monster Hunter in slow-mo. (And no, that isn't a crack about the FPS lock.)
Compared to Monster Hunter, all the Oni just sit there after attacking for like 3 seconds, letting you beat the crap out of them. The game just seems overall much easier and more forgiving then Monster Hunter.
Which isn't a bad thing, just wanted to point that out to people if they were expecting something super difficult like Monster Hunter.
