Are any of the current Sherlock games good? They have always spiked an interest with me but I've never took the plunge.

Some of the puzzles in it are obtuse-ish but all in all you should have a smooth ride through it. I played a little of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes and it seemed good as well, it obviously didn't have a Lovecraftian element going for it like The Awakened did but it was pretty interesting.

Not the best games ever, and not very pretty to look at if that concerns you, but if you're a fan of Holmes you'll most likely find them enjoyable enough.
