New Computer, 3 days in. Artifacts?

I've got a AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 ghz quad-core CPU.
Radeon HD 5770 1GB GPU.
and 4 gb of DDR3 1600 RAM.
1440x900 resolution.

I put my computer together on Saturday, and am wondering what these are.
This occurs in L4D2 Demo as well.
The GPU idles at about 40 C and gets to 60-70 C while gaming.
-Note the White squares in the snow, and the artifacts on the hand in the L4D2 screenshot.
Can anyone help?

The white squares in the snow is an effect that Crysis employs to simulate frost sparkling. The only problem I see there is that the texture displayed is stretched to large. It could just be a mistake on their part. Is it like that everywhere else?

So what about the L4D2 Demo hand?
The lighting was fine on Sunday, but today I noticed this and am a bit worried.
As I said, the idle temp is about 40 C and it gets to 60-70 while gaming.
I'm not overclocking it at all either.

Those don't look like artifacts. The hand might be a little glitched though in the L4D2 demo, no biggie really

Could this possibly be do to driver issues?What with the 5770 being rather new and all?
Also, I'm running Windows XP, if that means anything.

There is nothing wrong with your computer. They are just little bugs and inconsistencies that you seem to have a knack for noticing.
